Over 300 new foreign companies enter Belarusian commodity exchange in 2026

MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) – More than 300 new foreign companies have started trading on the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) in 2026, the BUCE press service told BelTA.

In January-April 2026, BUCE accredited 332 foreign companies from 25 countries to participate in exchange trading.

The largest number of new participants came from the Russian Federation (191 companies). China ranked second with 36 participants, Azerbaijan third with 24 companies, Uzbekistan fourth with 19, and Kazakhstan fifth with 14.

According to BUCE, the overwhelming majority of non-resident companies accredited this year chose to use the exchange platform to purchase Belarusian-made goods. “Traditionally, Russian residents show the highest interest in using exchange instruments to work on the Belarusian market. They accounted for more than half of all entities accredited in January-April [2026]. As for regional breakdown, Moscow and Moscow Oblast lead with 62 companies and individual entrepreneurs. They are followed by St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast with 21 participants, then Smolensk Oblast and Rostov Oblast with 14 and 7 participants, respectively. Sverdlovsk Oblast closes the top five with 6 participants. As for China, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the influx of new participants from these countries is largely driven by growing demand for Belarusian products traded on the exchange, primarily dairy products, meat products, sawn timber, flax fiber, feed additives and sugar,” the BUCE press service noted.

As of 6 May 2026, BUCE accredited 39,362 business entities, including 9,372 non-residents from 83 countries.
