MINSK, 14 January (BelTA) - The government has extended the permission to use foreign currency for settlements in cargo transportation. This is stipulated by Joint Resolution No. 824/29 by the Council of Ministers and the National Bank dated 31 December 2025, which has been published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.
The document introduces amendments to Joint Resolution No. 392/7 by the Council of Ministers and the National Bank “On Foreign Exchange Operations” of 6 July 2021.
Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs (residents of Belarus) are permitted to use foreign currency for settlements related to transportation and forwarding services associated with the movement of cargo outside of/into Belarus and during transit through Belarus until 1 January 2027. This measure is aimed at supporting the transport sector in part of international shipments.
The resolution takes effect from the date of its adoption.
