MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) - The Belarusian Auto Association (BAA) revealed the top-selling car models in July.
Aggressive promotional campaigns by Belarusian car dealerships fueled a 15.4% month-over-month sales increase in July, with 4,346 new passenger vehicles sold. This represents the second-highest monthly volume in 2025, surpassed only by February's record performance.
"This achievement was largely driven by BelGee's record monthly sales of 2,395 vehicles, accounting for 55% of all purchases. BelGee and AvtoVAZ accounted for 79.4% of the total market,” the BAA said.
The BelGee X70 emerged as July's top seller with 968 units sold, capturing 22.3% of Belarus' new passenger vehicle market.
However, the overall sales volume showed a slight 1.8% year-over-year decline. Market analysts also note a continuing reduction in available vehicle models across dealerships.
New energy vehicles (NEVs), including electric vehicles and series hybrids, accounted for 642 units sold in July - representing 14.8% of Belarus' total passenger vehicle market. Dongfeng BOX dominated the segment with 301 units sold.
Meanwhile, series hybrids continue to lose market dominance within the NEV segment. While holding over 60% of all NEV sales at the start of 2025, their share plummeted to just 22% by July.
