Belarus to take part in China-Eurasia Expo in Urumqi

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – On 6 March the Belarusian Embassy in China hosted a meeting of Belarusian diplomats with representatives of the China-Eurasia Expo Secretariat, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Beijing.

The parties discussed Belarus' participation in the 2025 China-Eurasia Expo that will be held in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China, on 26-30 June.

During the meeting, the Chinese delegation shared information about the upcoming event and noted that the expo is an important platform for boosting international cooperation and promoting the export of participating countries.

The organizers of this international large-scale multi-industry event are the Ministry of Commerce of China, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and the People's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.

Eight China-Eurasia Expo exhibitions have already been held, with over 40 Chinese and foreign leaders and heads of international organizations, and over 1,100 ministers from China and abroad visiting it. In total, over 60 high-level forums and thematic events were organized within the framework of the exhibitions, which helped the participants to strike a number of agreements in politics, economy, trade, science and technology, and humanitarian matters.

At present, there is a direct flight between Minsk and Urumqi. It was launched at the end of last year.
