KHL playoffs: Dinamo Minsk blank CSKA in 7-0 win

MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) – HC Dinamo Minsk regained their lead in the 2024/25 KHL playoffs first round whitewashing HC CSKA Moscow 7-0 on home ice on 3 April, BelTA has learned.

In the second minute of the game, Daniil Lipsky fed Yegor Borikov to open the score for the Bisons. Midway through the opening stanza Dinamo added to its lead in the 11th minute through Sam Anas. A minute later it was 3-0 when Yegor Borikov scored his second of the night.

CSKA replaced starting goalie Ivan Prosvetov with Pavel Khomchenko, who allow another one just before the first intermission. Rob Hamilton fired home from behind the net to make it 4-0.

Roman Gorbunov scored two for the Bisons in the second period. Andrei Stas scored his own between Roman Gorbunov’s double success.  

The score did not change in the final period, and Dinamo’s goalie Vasily Demchenko completed his shut-out with 23 saves. This victory became the Bisons’ biggest in their KHL playoff history.

Dmitry Kvartalnov’s team are leading the series against CSKA 3-2. The Bisons are one step away from making their maiden Gagarin Cup quarterfinal. HC Dinamo Minsk will be back in action in Moscow on 5 April. If needed the seventh match will be played in Minsk on 7 April.
