
MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) - Investing in the sporting future, supporting young Belarusian athletes and coaches are the main priorities of the Presidential Sports Club, Chairman of the Central Council of the Presidential Sports Club Dmitry Lukashenko said at a general meeting of the organization in Minsk on 21 May, BelTA has learned.

Dmitry Lukashenko, who was reelected chairman of the Central Council, highlighted several key areas of focus. Among them is the improvement of work to solve significant tasks. The Presidential Sports Club will continue to actively participate in the organization of sports and mass sports events in Belarus, which are essential for the development of Belarusian sport and the physical education and health movement. Support will be provided to research projects aimed at supporting physical education and sport, development of sports law, including the development and promotion of the draft Sports Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The club intends to further expand international ties to form a positive image of Belarus and strengthen its position in the international sports arena.

The general meeting elected the new Central Council. For the first time it includes Chairman of the Belarusian Tennis Federation Sergei Rutenko and Chairman of the Belarusian Wrestling Federation Alim Selimov.
