MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) - The roster for the ski-biathlon Race of Champions has been announced. The event is scheduled for 3-4 January at the Almaz stadium in Ryazan, Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Russian Biathlon Union.
The competition will be held in a mixed relay format, with each of the ten teams consisting of four people: one male and one female skier and biathlete each. The composition of the quartets will be determined based on qualification results. During the draw, female skiers will choose male biathletes, and female biathletes will choose male skiers. The women will start first on the course, and the men will be the ones to finish.
Three Belarusian representatives are on the participants’ list: Dzmitry Lazouski, Anton Smolski, and Dzinara Smolskaya. Also on the roster are 37 Russian athletes, including team leaders in biathlon such as Alexander Povarnitsyn, Kirill Bazhin, Eduard Latypov, Irina Kazakevich, Natalia Shevchenko, Victoria Slivko, and others.
