MINSK, April 7 (BelTA) - A reliquary containing part of the Cincture of the Most Holy Theotokos and the relics of Her holy parents, the righteous Joachim and Anna, were brought to the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Slutsk, BelTA has learned.
With the blessing of Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, the reliquary containing a portion of the Cincture of the Most Holy Theotokos and the relics of Her holy parents, the righteous Joachim and Anna arrived in the Slutsk Eparchy on 7 April.
Today, 7 April, the holy relic will remain at the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Slutsk. Believers have the opportunity to venerate the relic until 18.00.
At 19.00 the reliquary will be brought to the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in Soligorsk where it will remain until 17.00 on 8 April.
According to the press service of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the reliquary containing a portion of the Cincture of the Most Holy Theotokos and the relics of Her holy parents, the righteous Joachim and Anna traveled through the eparchies og Minsk, Borisov, Molodechno, Vitebsk, Polotsk, Grodno, Lida and Brest since 4 March. In the Mogilev Eparchy the holy relic will remain from 9 to 10 April.
