MINSK, 4 May (BelTA) - A lesson dedicated to Victory Day will be held in Belarusian schools on 7 May, the press service of the Education Ministry told BelTA.

“Students and teachers will discuss why the Great Victory is sacred and why the truth about the Great Patriotic War serves as a shield for Belarus. Teachers will also explain why preserving the true memory of the Great Victory is both an honor and a responsibility. In the Year of the Belarusian Woman, special emphasis will be placed on the contribution of Belarusian women to the Great Victory,” the ministry said.

The lesson aims to broaden students’ knowledge about the feat of the Belarusian people and Belarusian women during the Great Patriotic War, promoting civic engagement and patriotism, instilling pride in the heroic past of the motherland, promoting a willingness to serve the nation, and helping students understand the value of peace on Earth and the need to preserve historical memory.

Information and methodological materials for the lesson are available on the National Educational Portal.
