MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) - Belarus and Uzbekistan enjoy good, trust-based and mutually beneficial relations, Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belarus Rakhmatulla Nazarov on 17 March, BelTA has learned.
“I sincerely congratulate you on your appointment. I wish you every success in your work. You should know that you have good friends here who are always ready to assist you with any matter to promote effective cooperation for the benefit of our peoples and our countries,” Natalya Kochanova stated.
Uzbekistan is a friendly nation for us, the speaker noted. “Our countries have built good, trust-based and mutually beneficial relations, largely thanks to our leaders. These ties have grown stronger over the years. Our nations share strong historical connections. The year 2024 was especially eventful for us. In February the Belarusian president visited Uzbekistan. This gave a fresh impetus to our cooperation. A number of agreements were signed, including a roadmap for cooperation for 2024-2025. Now our governments are actively implementing it,” Natalya Kochanova emphasized.
