MINSK, 26 April (BelTA) – The Military Doctrine and the National Security Concept are aimed at further strengthening Belarus, Chairman of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vladimir Gusakov said after the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress, BelTA has learned.
According to Vladimir Gusakov, the adopted National Security Concept includes not only military aspects, but also aspects related to the biological and food security of the country, as well as many other areas.
“There are many facets of security, more than a dozen of them. They have all been included in the concept. The adopted strategic documents require thorough study. Every resident of our country, I believe, should be familiar with these documents, because they rely on our historicity, wisdom, and reflect our vision for the country’s future and its security across the board,” noted Vladimir Gusakov. “We have maintained a normal, stable situation in the country. We must appreciate this and be proud of it. These documents spell out measures to keep strengthening our state,” he said.
As previously reported, the National Security Concept and the Military Doctrine were on the agenda of the second day of the Belarusian People’s Congress. These are fundamental documents laying out the state’s approaches to ensuring security in various areas, taking into account geopolitical changes in the world. These documents also regulate the use of military force in response to challenges and threats.
