MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – China does not want any aggravation of relations with its partners, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with U.S. blogger Mario Nawfal, BelTA learned.
“Xi Jinping and I are on good terms. I can tell you for sure that Xi Jinping wants neither war nor even the slightest aggravation of relations. He does not need confrontation. This is natural for Chinese people. They want to mind their business, do it in a calm, peaceful manner. They understand that in peace they can achieve big success. And they actually prove successful. They don't tolerate war,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

He added that he discussed Ukraine with Chinese President Xi Jinping. China always supported peace in Ukraine and together with Brazil suggested a peace plan on Ukraine.

“I know for sure that this conflict was not in the interests of China, because their Silk Road initiative passed through Ukraine towards Western Europe. But there is a front there, a war that causes certain damage to China's economic interests. China needs no war at all,” the president said.
