
MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 337 “On Providing Support to Sports Organizations” on 17 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The document introduces a new mechanism of state support for federations and sports clubs, granting them the right to receive subsidies for strictly designated purposes. Federations may receive subsidies from the national budget, while clubs for team and individual sports may receive subsidies from local budgets.
Simultaneously, support through sponsors receiving benefits on real estate tax, land tax, and profit tax will be discontinued.
The Council of Ministers shall regulate the amount of subsidies, the total support received by federations and clubs from state organizations in the form of sponsorship, advertising, and other means, as well as the salaries of federation leaders, athletes, coaches, and other specialists.

For clubs that are budget-financed organizations, state budget funding shall be retained.
At the same time, the decree does not restrict their ability to manage their own earned funds and sponsorship received from private organizations.
Additionally, to stimulate high athletic performance, a collective prize pool shall be established for clubs playing team sports. The government shall set the rules for distribution and the size of the bonuses at the end of the sports season.
The Sport and Tourism Ministry shall monitor the use of state support by federations and clubs, and compliance with legislation in physical education and sport.
The measures shall ensure the uniform and objective distribution of state support and control over its use.
The current Decree No. 191 of the Belarusian president “On Providing Support to Sports Organizations” of 15 April 2013 shall cease to be effective on 31 December 2025.
