MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Utyupin met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Belarus Bakhtovar Safarzoda, BelTA has learned.
The parties discussed matters concerning Belarus-Tajikistan cooperation in politics, trade, economy, and investments.
Taking into account Tajikistan’s presidency over the Commonwealth of Independent States this year, the parties discussed the schedule of forthcoming bilateral visits at various levels.
Belarus-Tajikistan diplomatic relations were established on 5 September 1996. Embassies are open in both countries. Belarus-Tajikistan cooperation has reached the level of strategic partnership.
