Belarus, China reaffirm importance of building equal and indivisible security architecture

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Zhang Wenchuan on 14 November  2024, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties discussed the results of the 2nd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security. The Chinese ambassador congratulated the Belarusian side on the successful conduct of the event.

The parties highlighted the importance of further work to build an equal and indivisible security architecture on the Eurasian continent and to dorm a new multipolar world order, which meets the interests of all members of the international community.

The parties exchanged views on the interaction between Belarus and China in international organizations, primarily in the United Nations, and reaffirmed the consistently high level of cooperation and mutual support at multilateral platforms in the spirit of the strategic partnership between Minsk and Beijing. The parties reviewed the progress in the implementation of China’s initiative to establish the International Organization for Mediation, including steps to promote it among the CIS member states.
