MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – It is important for Belarus and China to continue strengthening trade and economic ties. The statement was made during the online conference “Cooperation with China as Belarus' Business Growth Driver”, BelTA learned from the Minsk office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which organized the event, together with the China Foreign Trade Center.
Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Relations of the BelCCI Office in Minsk Tatyana Dubova and a representative of the China Foreign Trade Center stressed in their greeting speeches the importance of strengthening the Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic ties. The program of the conference also included a presentation of Asia's biggest trade platform Canton Fair, all stages of participation in the exhibition, opportunities of the digital platform which will host the event on 15-24 October.
Speaking at the event was also a representative of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. He spoke about the usage of the exchange mechanism in mutual trade by companies from Belarus and China and emphasized the growing interest from Chinese companies in purchasing food products, timber via the BUCE. He also said that the BUCE had introduced a simplified registration mechanism for participants in exchange trade.
Participants discussed doing business conditions in China, advantages of the export to China and key product promotion methods. Special focus was made on legal aspects of work with Chinese partners, practical aspects of trade and economic cooperation.
Taking part in the online conference on Belarus' behalf were 116 representatives of companies interested in continuing or establishing new trade and economic ties with Chinese partners.
