MINSK, 16 January (BelTA) – Economic operators of Grodno Oblast shipped more than 100,000 consignments of goods abroad in 2020, BelTA learned from the Grodno Regional Customs Office.
In particular, in 2020 more than 25 million tonnes of export commodities worth $1.4 billion were transported through the checkpoints operated by the Grodno Regional Customs Office. The foreign trade surplus amounted to $509 million by the end of the year.
According to the Grodno Regional Customs Office, 70% of goods were exported through the railway customs checkpoints. Those were mostly potash and nitrogen fertilizers, timber, polyamides, cement.
