Belarus showcases export potential to China’s Harbin

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – A videoconference to discuss the development of Belarus-China cooperation was held between the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the leadership of the Harbin Comprehensive Bonded Zone. The main focus of the meeting was helping enterprises from Minsk Oblast enter the Chinese market, the Minsk Office of the BelCCI told BelTA.

The Belarusian side was represented by Irina Ivanova, Deputy Director General for Foreign Economic Relations of the Minsk Office of the BelCCI. She thanked the Chinese partners for their systematic support and for the specific request for meat supplies received from the bonded zone’s administrative committee.

After analyzing the requests, the Belarusian side proposed additional categories of goods with high export potential. These include dairy products (dry milk, cheese, cottage cheese, and butter), confectionery (chocolate, candies, and cookies from leading Belarusian factories), beverages (natural juices and mineral water), and linen products (items made from flax, in the production of which Belarus is one of the world leaders).

The representative of the Minsk Office of the BelCCI emphasized the strategic importance of the Harbin Bonded Zone as a platform for deep processing and distribution. “We are ready to form a delegation of producers based on your specific requests regarding volumes and product types. Our goal is for the first business visit to result in the signing of real contracts,” Irina Ivanova concluded.
