Belarus implements construction projects worth RUB9.4bn in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast 

MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) - Since 2020, Belarus has implemented construction projects worth RUB9.4 billion in Russia’s Voronezh Oblast, BelTA learned from the Architecture and Construction Ministry of Belarus. 

The pilot project was implemented in 2021 when a school for 520 seats was put into operation in the village of Strelitsa. The grand opening of the new educational institution took place in August 2021. 

Three projects were carried out in 2023. The Belarusian Quarter of individual residential development from the house kits made by the Shklov plant was built in the exemplary eco-village of Lushnikovka. Belarus constructed a school for 500 children and a kindergarten for 220 children in the village of Semiluki in the same year. August 2023 marked the launch of an educational center for 2,860 places in Voronezh, which is the largest school in Russia. 

According to the Construction and Architecture Ministry, Belarusian builders are currently working on a number of projects in Voronezh Oblast. For example, the construction of a kindergarten for 600 children was launched in Voronezh in April 2024. The facility is slated for commissioning in June 2025. Work on a tire recycling facility in Voronezh Oblast began in August 2023 and is to be completed in March 2025. Fakel sports stadium with a capacity of 10,000 seats is now undergoing the necessary commissioning procedures.
