MINSK, 21 November (BelTA) – World Aquatics has reviewed its policy for the participation of Belarusian and Russian athletes in its events, the World Aquatics press service reports.
Now Belarusian and Russian athletes can take part in international swimming, open water swimming, synchronized swimming and diving competitions in a neutral status and following a strict set of criteria.
Participation in water polo tournaments remains under the ban. In September 2023, Belarusian athletes were allowed to compete only in individual events.
