MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Aleksandr Volfovich met with Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Taalatbek Masadykov on 6 April, BelTA has learned.
It is Taalatbek Masadykov’s first visit to Belarus after he was once again appointed the leader of the international organization.
During the meeting the parties exchanged views about current events on the international agenda. Matters of cooperation among member states within the framework of the organization were discussed as well as the progress of implementing previously adopted decisions of the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO.
Taalatbek Masadykov informed about the work of the CSTO Secretariat to prepare for upcoming events scheduled for 2026 and also gave high praise for the implementation of Belarus’ long-term proposals and initiatives within the framework of the organization.
Aleksandr Volfovich drew attention to Belarus’ preparations for participation in planned sessions of the organization’s governing bodies this year as well as Belarus’ participation in joint exercises of the CSTO Collective Forces.
