
MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) - Since Monday, the queue of trucks waiting to enter Poland at the Belarusian border has grown by 77%, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus.
As of 10:00, a total of 1,850 trucks were waiting to enter the EU.
Since Monday, the number of trucks waiting near the Polish checkpoint Kukuryki (Kozlovichi on the Belarusian side) has increased from 430 to 760. Over the day, the checkpoint handled 54% of the normal number of trucks.
The busiest border crossing is the Lithuanian border checkpoint Medininkai (Kamenny Log). In the last 24 hours, its personnel accepted only 74 out of the 500 trucks waiting there. The Lithuanian border checkpoint Salcininkai (Benyakoni) has accepted 30% of the normal number of trucks.
A total of 160 trucks are queuing up to enter the EU near the Latvian border checkpoint Paternieki (Grigorovshchina). Its personnel cleared 25% of the normal number of trucks.
