Minsk’s Big Tourism Week to feature congress, exhibition, culinary awards 

MOSCOW, 10 February (BelTA) - The Big Tourism Week is set for its debut in Minsk on 7-11 April, Filipp Guly, head of the National Union of the Tourism Industry, announced said at a press conference in the Business and Cultural Center of the Belarusian embassy in Moscow, BelTA has learned.

The tourism week will bring together several events covering almost the entire tourism sector. Its central event will be the 4th Belarusian-Russian Tourism Congress. It will gather not only tour operators but also representatives of legislative and executive authorities, hoteliers, and providers of various services for the tourism business. “More than 50 sectors of the economy are in one way or another involved in the tourism industry,” Filipp Guly said. He added that the congress will be attended by representatives not only from Belarus and Russia, but also from third countries. The congress program includes work in professional sessions, training seminars, and a B2B matchmaking sessions for representatives of Russian and Belarusian companies.

The Travel Hub Commonwealth forum will also take place as part of the Big Tourism Week. It is focused on issues of positioning and promoting tourist products of CIS countries, developing interstate tourist routes, and improving the legislative framework for addressing current problems in the tourism and hospitality industry. The forum’s goal is to increase tourist flows, enhance the recognition and appeal of the tourist and cultural potential of the CIS countries, and create a unified legal space in tourism within the CIS.

Another platform of the Big Tourism Week will be the international exhibition of equipment, products, and services for the hospitality industry, Expo HORECA Minsk 2026. It will showcase technological and commercial equipment, tableware, inventory, food products, automation tools, solutions for hotel outfitting and cleaning, and interior concepts for restaurant and tourism facilities.

The second WHERETOEAT gastronomy awards will also be held as part of the week.
