MINSK, 26 February (BelTA) – China respects the choice of the Belarusian people, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Mao Ning told a briefing, TASS reports.
“Being an all-weather strategic partner of Belarus, China respects the choice of the Belarusian people,” Mao Ning noted. “We are ready to further expand cooperation with Belarus across the board and facilitate the continuous development of relations between the two countries.”
A reminder, the single voting day took place in Belarus on 25 February:
110 deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly and more than 12,500 deputies of local councils were elected for five-year terms.
