MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – The National Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health has been reorganized into the Research Institute of Hygiene, Toxicology, Epidemiology, Virology and Microbiology, BelTA learned from the press service of the Healthcare Ministry.
The National Center for Hygiene, Epidemiology and Public Health incorporated the Center for Applied Research in Hygiene and the National Center for Applied Research in Epidemiology and Microbiology. As a result, the Research Institute of Hygiene, Toxicology, Epidemiology, Virology and Microbiology was established. This was done to increase the efficiency of the epidemiological safety policy of the government.
“The merger of the three organizations will ensure a risk-oriented approach to public health supervision, increase the efficiency of the work to develop and introduce new technologies in primary medical prevention and prevent the negative impact of environmental factors on public health,” the press service informed.
The reorganization is expected to improve the quality of strategic planning of the public health service taking into account the latest solutions, to ensure rational use of laboratory capacities and to widely introduce cutting-edge solutions.
