MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) – Iran has a large personnel reserve, which allows it to maintain an extremely stable system of state and military power, Andrei Bogodel, Deputy Head of the Faculty of Education and Science – Head of the Education and Methodology Department of the Faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces at the Military Academy of Belarus, said in the latest episode of the V Teme [On Point] project on BelTA’s YouTube channel.
The expert noted that after the attack by the United States and Israel, Iran’s elite has been almost completely replaced. This applies to the country’s top leadership, including Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed in Tehran. Nevertheless, the fallen representatives of Iran’s ruling elite were promptly replaced, and attempts to overthrow the ruling regime in Iran failed.

“It is becoming clear that Iran has no shortage of replacements. The country’s military and state apparatus has such a great reserve of personnel that the United States simply doesn’t have enough missiles to take them all out. Iran’s system of state and military power has proven to be extremely stable,” Andrei Bogodel emphasized. “When we talk about Iran’s elites, we need to understand that we are not referring to some kind of oligarchs. Iranian elites are part of the political system, operating at different levels and shaping the vector of development. These elites understand what the Americans are really trying to achieve.”

Thus, the expert stated, the U.S. strategy on new elites loyal to the West has failed. Moreover, the killing of Ali Khamenei was a major miscalculation by the USA and Israel. The death of the supreme leader as a result of the attack on Iran turned him into a martyr – a status that holds special significance in Shia Islam – and united Iranians in the fight against the United States and Israel.
