MOSCOW, 20 November (BelTA) – A joint meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council, the Defense Ministers Council, and the Security Council Secretaries Committee of the CSTO will take place in Bishkek on 27 November, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova at a briefing on 20 November, BelTA has learned.
Maria Zakharova noted that the event will be held under the chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan, ahead of the scheduled session of the CSTO Collective Security Council on the same day. “An exchange of views is planned on the military‑political situation in the regions of collective security, discussion of the results of cooperation, and prospects for the further development of the CSTO. The Russian side will inform its allies about the priorities of its chairmanship in the organization in the upcoming year 2026,” she said.
“It is expected that during the meeting draft documents will be approved aimed at strengthening the collective security system, improving the activities of the organization, and a set of issues will be submitted for consideration by the heads of CSTO member states,” the spokeswoman added.
