MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Artists of the Acrobatic Troupe of Gansu Province of the People's Republic of China shared their impressions of their visit to Minsk, BelTA has learned.
Artists of the acrobatic troupe will take part in the sports and entertainment show Time of Our Victories, which will be held in Minsk Arena on Saturday, 7 December. The guests from China will perform on the same stage with Belarus’ best gymnasts (rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, tumbling track, acrobatic gymnastics), and Russian athletes.
"We are in Belarus for the first time. We accepted the invitation immediately. Our province is famous for its theater art, and we are glad to have an opportunity to demonstrate it in your country," choreographer of the troupe Xu Rui said. "We will show two performances in Minsk: 'Praise of Life' and 'Dunhuang Colorful Sculptures'. The first one is dedicated to a tree in our province, which has been standing in the middle of the desert for a thousand years. The second refers to the Dunhuang manuscripts, a cultural heritage of our region. In total, 30 our artists came to Belarus, the youngest of whom is 13 years old."
"Taking part in the show in Minsk Arena is a great experience for us. We are incredibly lucky that we will perform together with Belarusian and Russian athletes. I like the stage very much. It has good equipment, which will help us to show our best performances," the troupe's artist Zhang Xueyi noted. "Your country has left a positive mark on me. Belarusians are extremely friendly. Belarusian girls are very beautiful. I hope that the friendly relations between Belarus and China will only get stronger."
The Time of Our Victories show will be divided into 12 thematic sections, each of which will include several performances. Artists of the Acrobatic Troupe of Gansu Province will perform in the Time to Be Friends and Time to Risk sections.
