MINSK, 22 January (BelTA) – Belarusian science, despite global challenges and uncertainty, continues to demonstrate resilience and a steady drive for innovation, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a ceremony to award Doctor of Science diplomas and professor certificates to academic, research and teaching staff on 22 January, BelTA has learned.
"Amid global challenges and uncertainty, Belarusian science demonstrates resilience and the ability to perceive and constantly develop innovations," Aleksandr Lukashenko said. " The knowledge economy – from artificial intelligence and biotechnology to smart agriculture and advanced materials – remains a priority for our scientific community, including those gathered here today."
Aleksandr Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that priorities and new guidelines for Belarusian science and the country as a whole were discussed at a large-scale meeting with scientists and at the Belarusian People’s Congress session.

“Belarussian science faces strategic challenges: the development of high-tech industries, inter-disciplinary research and industrial schools, the integration of science, education and the real sector with access to implementation and mass production. Increasing the productivity of such interaction and reducing technological dependence is a top priority," the president said.
