MINSK, 1 January (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian nation and himself Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan Abdel Fattah al-Burhan Abdel Rahman al-Burhan on the national holiday – Independence Day, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
The president noted that this holiday embodies the historical will of the Sudanese people to preserve statehood and to develop independently. In the current circumstances when Sudan faces serious challenges to the internal political stability Belarus highly appreciates efforts of the chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of Sudan, which are aimed at maintaining unity and creating a solid foundation for the future, the congratulatory message reads.
“We are connected by constructive relations of trust and mutual openness. Belarus is interested in becoming a reliable partner of Sudan in the process of its reconstruction,” the Belarusian leader noted. “We are ready to offer our expertise for the sake of restoring the infrastructure and the energy sector, agriculture, and for the sake of enhancing food security as well as expertise in the field of personnel training.”
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health, wisdom, and success in his responsible position to Abdel Fattah al-Burhan Abdel Rahman al-Burhan. The president wished peace and prosperity to the Sudanese people.
