YEREVAN, 19 November (BelTA) – I have updated my counterparts in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) on the situation at the Belarusian-Polish border, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko told the media after the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting in Yerevan on 19 November, BelTA has learned.
“I have informed my counterparts about the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border in detail. The issue arouses great interest. Unfortunately, it is interpreted differently from the two sides of the border,” he said.
Roman Golovchenko added that the EAEU heads of government were provided with detailed information about the measures taken by Belarus to ensure comfortable conditions for migrants at the border. “The main thing is to prevent a humanitarian disaster. Western partners talk a lot about this, but do little or nothing. The position of Belarus was understood,” the prime minister stressed.
