SAINT PETERSBURG, 22 December (BelTA) – At an expanded meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov expressed gratitude to the leaders of Belarus, Russia, and Kazakhstan for their support in securing oil product supplies, BelTA has learned.
“I would like to express my gratitude to my esteemed colleagues Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, Aleksandr Grigoryevich Lukashenko, and Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev for their timely support of the Kyrgyz Republic with oil product supplies,” said Sadyr Japarov. “This has become an important example of solidarity and practical partnership within the Union. We highly value this responsible attitude and view it as a clear confirmation of mutual trust and a willingness to find joint solutions even in the face of objective difficulties.”
At the end of November, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told reporters that relations between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan were excellent, citing Kyrgyzstan’s support with fuel supplies as an example.
“When Ukrainian strikes began targeting infrastructure in Russia, particularly oil refineries, you ran out of fuel. Naturally, in line with our agreements, we provide considerable support to our Russian partners; we have two powerful oil refineries in Belarus. Yet, when our Kyrgyz friends appealed for help with fuel, we responded without hesitation. We reached an agreement with Vladimir Vladimirovich, secured a portion of the Russian supply to help you. This proves that we truly have very close and good relations,” Aleksandr Lukashenko explained.
