ASTANA, 8 November (BelTA) – A joint session of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council, the CSTO Defense Ministers Council and the CSTO Committee of Security Councils' Secretaries is in progress in Astana, BelTA has learned.
The participants of the session are to discuss over twenty issues, with 15 of them to be forwarded to the heads of state. The heads of the CSTO participating countries will hold talks in Kazakhstan's capital city in the second half of the day.
The ministers and the security councils' secretaries arrived at the Palace of Independence in Astana in the morning of 8 November. They had an opportunity to have an informal conversation behind the scenes and to compare notes on the most topical issues of the agenda. The official part of the event was preceded by a joint photo opportunity. The session is taking place behind closed doors.
