MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – The strategic partnership between Belarus and China is growing stronger amid global economic transformations, Deputy Director of the Economics Institute of the Economy Ministry Aleksandr Kurlypo said as he spoke at the 8th plenary session of the National School of Young Sinologists at the Confucius Institute of Belarusian State University on 28 February, BelTA has learned.
“Relations between Belarus and China are on the up and up; they have become a paragon of successful bilateral cooperation,” he stressed. “Cooperation is thriving not only in the economic sector, but also in culture, education, and science.”
The deputy director continued: “An important element of this interaction is strategic partnership, which is growing stronger amidst global economic changes. As you know, our country has entered a new economic cycle. New long-term forecasts for the next five years and for the period up to 2045 are in the works. Work is underway to draft the concept of the socio-economic development program for the next five years. In all these documents, an important place is given to cooperation with the PRC,” said Aleksandr Kurlypo.
“In particular, a constructive dialogue will continue through the alignment of socio-economic development strategies, the expansion of cooperation in trade and economy, technology, investment, science and education and humanitarian matters,” he continued.
