MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) - The international exhibition of forestry and wood-processing technologies Lesdrevtech 2021 will be held at Minsk Arena on 20-23 May, Lyubov Smirnova, the head of science and industrial projects - the head of the Lesdrevtech project at the BelExpo national exhibition center, told a press conference, BelTA ha learned.
The exhibition aims to showcase the industry's achievements, to outline areas for the further development and to present the capacities of foreign participants interested in working in the Belarusian market. “This is not only a large-scale exhibition of forestry vehicles, woodworking equipment but also an opportunity to buy products. The exhibition will bring together representatives of such countries as Russia, Italy, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland and Slovenia," said Lyubov Smirnova.
The business program is going to be busy. It will include conferences, presentations, roundtables and a fair. The main topics will be production, sale and export of wood fuel, meeting the local demand.
"We are proud of the progress we have made. We try to keep up with technological advancements.. Some 50% of wood is harvested in a mechanized way. This is the right strategy. It is very important from the point of view of occupational health," said Andrei Matskevich, the head of production and sales at the Forestry Ministry. According to him, such exhibitions as Lesdrevtech showcase technological advancements in the industry and the latest equipment.
