MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) – The public joint-stock company (OAO) Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No.407 intends to build a new shop. Belarusian Transport and Communications Minister Aleksei Lyakhnovich mentioned the plans on the air of the First News TV channel, BelTA has learned.
The enterprise is operating at capacity. In 2024 it opened a modern complex for painting the external surface of aircraft in addition to providing their maintenance. According to the minister, more than ten aircraft have already been painted at the plant, including new aircraft of the Belarusian flag carrier Belavia. Maintenance services and repair services are also in demand. The next year is completely booked.
“The plant is busy today, its services are in demand. The customers that work with us are satisfied with the quality and it is unlikely they will leave our plant,” Aleksei Lyakhnovich noted.
Plans have been made to further develop the facility. “We are discussing the construction of another shop with the head of the plant. The universal shop will offer painting services when painting is in demand or repair services if painting is not in demand. In other words, another shop is likely to be built soon,” the transport and communications minister said.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Minsk Civil Aviation Plant No.407 is the former USSR’s leading enterprise for repairing, modernization, and maintenance of all modifications of Yak-40, Yak-42, Yak-52, and Tu-134 aircraft.
