MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) – A Belarusian exposition has been organized as part of the Agro Food Drink Tech Expo in Georgia. A number of delegations led by Georgian Deputy Ministers of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Lasha Avaliani and Zurab Ezugbaia visited the Belarusian exposition, the press service of the BelInterExpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry told BelTA.
The Georgian government officials were made familiar with products on display as part of the Belarus. The Taste of Nature exposition. They identified promising points of business cooperation. “Belarusian products are in demand on the Georgian market. High quality and natural ingredients stress the high standards and the status of Belarus’ food sector that has been tested by time and traditions,” Lasha Avaliani said.
Zurab Ezugbaia remarked that the regional retail chain that sells Belarusian products grows larger every year. “The product choice is expanding. It allows making plans to open new trade outlets, which will be in demand without a doubt,” he stressed.
Although the expo in Tbilisi will last for only two days, a series of business negotiations will continue within the framework of joint business events involving Belarusian manufacturers.
About 80 major food industry companies from Georgia, Italy, Germany, Russia, and Slovakia were represented at the expo. Business meetings involving Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Georgia Nikolai Rogashchuk were organized. Heads of retail chains and Georgian businesses were invited to attend in order to get familiar with Belarusian enterprises and companies.
