MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – The Chinese company Sinomach is interested in expanding presence in Belarus, BelTA learned from representatives of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization of Belarus (NAIP) after a Sinomach delegation visited the agency.
The delegation was led by Deputy Head of the Sinomach Corporation Regional Center in Belarus Pei Chao. He mentioned plans to step up the company's presence on the Belarusian market. The company is particularly interested in projects to recycle solid municipal waste, long-term social projects, and environmental projects.
The NAIP outlined additional investment opportunities and expressed readiness to provide further assistance with implementing investment projects.
China Sinomach Heavy Industry Corporation is one of China's largest state-run companies. It is a leading designer and manufacturer of machine-building equipment and is on the Fortune 500 list. Since 2014 Sinomach has been a majority shareholder of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The company's daughter enterprise YTO is a resident in the park.
