MOSCOW, 8 May (BelTA) – A meeting of the joint interdepartmental group on ensuring equal rights for citizens of Belarus and Russia took place in Moscow on 7 May, chaired by State Secretary of the Belarus-Russia Union State Sergei Glazyev, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.
“The participants reviewed the implementation of agreements reached at previous meetings of the interdepartmental group. They also discussed ensuring equal rights for citizens of Belarus and Russia in employment, medical and transport services, education, and sports, as well as the provision of mobile communication services across the two countries,” the press service noted.
Participants included senior officials from Belarusian and Russian state bodies, the Embassies of Belarus in Russia and Russia in Belarus, the Standing Committee of the Belarus-Russia Union State, and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.
