Belneftekhim confirms 2m tonnes of oil supplies in April

MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – The press service of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim has confirmed oil supplies to its refineries in the amount of up to 2 million tonnes in April, BelTA has learned.

“Yesterday, the Belarusian oil refineries began to contract the volume of oil supplies from oil companies for April. In total, according to the commercial proposals coming from suppliers, there are plans for the supply of raw materials in the amount of up to 2 million tonnes,” said the press service.

At the moment the suppliers' prices for Urals crude oil for Belarus amounts to $4 per barrel. The issues related to the payment of premiums to Russian suppliers will be settled by inter-budgetary calculations.

As the Russian Ministry of Finance stated earlier, they will engage in inter-budgetary calculations only after signing the contracts.

According to Belneftekhim, the comments of the parties do not have any contradictions related to the price, supply volumes or premium to the Russian oil companies.

On 1 January Russia's major oil companies suspended oil deliveries to Belarus because the sides had failed to come to an agreement about the price. First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Dmitry Krutoi was quoted as saying that Belarus believes it is economically inadvisable and pointless to pay the same amounts of premium to Russian companies.
