MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) is promoting the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone among Chinese regions as an exhibition venue, BelCCI Chairman Mikhail Myatlikov said during the Great Business Day business event, BelTA has learned.
According to him, the park and the chamber have a long and productive history of cooperation. “I am proud to note that the Great Stone administration is a member of BelCCI and is represented on the BelCCI Council, one of the chamber’s key governing bodies. Without a doubt, Great Stone is today one of the most recognizable and authoritative business cards of our country’s economy. It is an effective platform for international exhibitions and congresses, a welcoming gateway to Belarus for foreign investors and high-tech companies, and a convenient springboard for exporters entering the global market,” he emphasized.
“In December of last year, BelCCI and Great Stone prepared a major B2B event in just one week, involving a business delegation from China’s Shandong Province. Around 20 Chinese and more than 50 Belarusian companies held a series of presentations and intensive, productive negotiations here at Great Stone. Overall, regional cooperation is now a key focus of the chamber’s China-related agenda,” Mikhail Myatlikov said.
BelCCI is currently actively promoting the Great Stone park among Chinese regions as an exhibition platform where they can regularly showcase their economic potential and establish ties with Belarusian enterprises, the BelCCI head noted. “This would make regional cooperation between our two countries more systematic, creating pillars for Chinese businesses to study the Belarusian market without limiting themselves to targeted visits. Our companies, in turn, would be able to familiarize themselves on site with the export offerings of Chinese provinces and present their own goods and services. Later this month, on 24 April, we expect a business delegation from Anhui Province. Presentations will be held at the BelCCI venue, followed by B2B meetings. Representatives of the park traditionally take part in business events organized by BelCCI, including meetings with foreign businesses and the diplomatic corps,” he added.
As part of the Great Business Day program resident companies of the industrial park as well as partners of the Great Stone industrial park and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry learned about the advantages available to BelCCI members, the conditions for procurement in the territory of the EAEU, the grounds for preferences in public procurement procedures in the Republic of Belarus, and also identified new growth points for business in the region’s markets.
