MINSK, 13 January (BelTA) – Belarus’ Development Bank continues to promote the export of Belarusian goods and services to Venezuela, the bank's press service told BelTA.
On the margins of the BRICS summit in Kazan in 2024, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said that Belarus and Venezuela are working on a new roadmap to deepen bilateral relations. It certainly applies to joint projects and trade between the two countries, the Development Bank stated.
President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro was sworn into office in Caracas a short while ago. This large-scale event was followed by a number of business meetings, which were attended by the Development Bank’s representatives as a part of the Belarusian delegation.
Roman Brodov, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank of Belarus, and Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Ricardo Menendez discussed ways of increasing trade between Belarus and Venezuela. The parties identified priority areas of cooperation to expand mutual trade and implement the most important bilateral projects in industry, transport, and infrastructure.
At one of the meetings with foreign partners, an agreement was reached to create legislative and financial infrastructure for the Development Bank to provide loans for the purchase of domestic goods and services in demand in Venezuela.
