MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarus' Ambassador to Turkey Viktor Rybak visited Turkey's Gaziantep Province on 4-5 November, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Ankara.
The head of the diplomatic mission held meetings with Governor of Gaziantep Province Davut Gul and Gaziantep Mayor Fatma Sahin. The parties discussed ways to intensify trade and investment cooperation of the region with Belarus.
The diplomat held meetings with the leadership of the Gaziantep Chambers of Industry and Commerce. Presentations were made on trade proposals of Belarusian enterprises interested in supplying products to Turkey, as well as investment conditions for attracting Turkish capital to Belarus.
Viktor Rybak visited textile industries in the region and discussed the increase of supply of Belarusian petrochemical products for Gaziantep enterprises.
Gaziantep is the most important industrial and cultural region in the south-east of Turkey with the population of about 2 million people. It is also the largest producer of textile industry goods, nonwoven materials and synthetic fibers in Turkey.
