MINSK, 5 March (BelTA) – Belarus will establish an export agency in 2021, Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Yuri Chebotar said at a ministerial meeting, BelTA has learned.
“This will be a full-fledged one-stop-shop facility providing financial and non-financial support for exporters. The agency will be launched this year. We will provide the necessary methodological support,” Yuri Chebotar noted.
The recent Decree No.39 is aimed at making the mechanism of promoting Belarusian exports more attractive and accessible. For example, the decree abolished the minimum amount of export loans and expanded the list of banks and insurance organizations that can work with exporters. “We want these instruments to work smoothly. We will be monitoring the situation for the next several months to see whether the banks added to the list have got involved in this work,” Yuri Chebotar said.
