MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia’s Gazprom will sign a cooperation roadmap at the International Gas Forum in St. Petersburg, Gazprom Executive Director Vitaly Markelov said during a meeting with Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich on the sidelines of the INNOPROM.Belarus international industrial expo on 30 September, BelTA has learned.
At the exhibition, Vitaly Markelov was particularly interested in new developments for use in the gas industry. “We will continue our work in accordance with the agreement between the government of Belarus and Gazprom, as well as the cooperation roadmap that will be signed next week at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. The exhibits that will be transported from here to St. Petersburg will represent Belarus with dignity. Overall, our relations are based on a friendly foundation. It's not just about gas supplies: we're now talking about industrial companies supplying Gazprom with equipment. One of them is Peleng, which has changed its approach to safety at our facilities,” he said.

Viktor Karankevich stressed the wide representation of Belarusian companies, government agencies, and Russian regions at INNOPROM. Belarus: “Twenty‑three regions are participating, with 15 delegations led by the leaders of the Russian federal subjects. This once again underlines the strategic nature of relations between our countries. The dialogue aims to strengthen cooperation, enhance mutually beneficial ties, and build on the relations established at the highest level. There is much to be proud of: there are steps and areas of joint action that will bring additional benefits to the development of both Gazprom and Belarus, as well as all the enterprises represented at the exhibition and those that will participate in the International Gas Forum. This is a serious step toward strengthening technological potential and deepening our industrial and innovation cooperation,” he added.
