MINSK, 4 December (BelTA) - The Belarusian Industry Ministry has refuted fake news regarding the launch of car production under the Zubr brand at the joint company UNISON in Belarus, BelTA learned from the ministry’s press service.
“Recently, a number of Belarusian media outlets have disseminated unverified information regarding the launch of production of cars under the Chinese brand Zubr on the territory of our country at the site of the joint company UNISON. The Industry Ministry officially states that this information is false and does not correspond to reality,” the ministry said.
As of today, no enterprise in the sector has received official permission or any other authorizing documentation from the Belarusian Industry Ministry for the production of Zubr brand cars. “We emphasize that any publications claiming otherwise are unsubstantiated and mislead the public. We apologize to our citizens and foreign partners for any inconvenience caused by the dissemination of incorrect information. We call on all media representatives to exercise caution and verify published data before releasing materials,” the press service said.
The Industry Ministry will continue to promptly inform the public about all significant events in Belarus’ industrial development exclusively through official communication channels and publications, the ministry added.
