MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Belarus' Aliaksandra Sasnovich has moved up 15 notched in the latest ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), which is topped by another Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, BelTA learned.
Last week Sasnovich was the 128th, and after reaching the semifinals of the Transylvania Open in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, she moved to 113th place in the world ranking. Another Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, who lost in the first round of the WTA Doha Open yesterday, remained in the 30th position. Aryna Sabalenka will open Qatar Open against Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, ranked 26th, in the Round of 32.
WTA Top Ten:
The men's ranking is headed by Jannik Sinner of Italy. Egor Gerasimov of Belarus goes 361st.
