WTA rankings: Sabalenka 2nd, Azarenka, Sasnovich move up

MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus goes second in the recently published WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.

Following the final in the Italian Open, Aryna Sabalenka keeps 8,138 points. The winner of the Rome final, Iga Swiatek of Poland, is 3,557 points ahead of the Belarusian. Victoria Azarenka of Belarus, who reached the Italian Open quarterfinal, moved from 24th to 21st spot. Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus is 104th.

Alexander Zverev of Germany won the Italian Open event and rose to the 4th position in the ATP rankings. Novak Djokovic of Serbia still tops the ATP rankings. Belarus’ Egor Gerasimov goes 275th.
