TOKYO, 29 July (BelTA) – Belarusian RS:X sailer Mikita Tsirkun has completed his contention at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, BelTA has learned.
In the Men's Sailing RS:X event the Belarusian placed 20th among 25 participants. The best ten athletes will continue their Olympic medal run on 31 July.
Tokyo 2020 has become the second Olympic Games for 24-year-old Mikita Tsirkun. At the 2016 Rio Games the Belarusian finished 22nd.
Tatiana Drozdovskaya from Belarus goes 19th in the Laser Radial after eight races. Two final preliminary races are scheduled for 30 July. The final race is due on 1 August.
