Alina Harnasko wins four medals at FIG World Challenge Cup in Portugal

MINSK, 13 May (BelTA) – Alina Harnasko of Belarus won four medals at the World Challenge Cup in Portimao, Portugal, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian claimed bronze in the Hoop event scoring a total of 33,200 points. Gold went to Darja Varfolomeev of Germany (34,500), silver – to Milana Parfilova of Kazakhstan (33,800).

In the Ball routine Alina Harnasko showed her best to clinch gold with a total of 33,550 points. Silver went to Kazakhstan’s Erika Zhailauova. Ekaterina Vedeneeva of Slovenia finished third. The Belarusian scored 33,650 points to secure silver in the Clubs routine. Gold went to Darja Varfolomeev of Germany (34,100), bronze was collected by Ekaterina Vedeneeva of Slovenia.

Earlier, Alina Harnasko won the All-Around silver, thus making it four-medal haul at the World Challenge Cup in Portugal. Anastasiia Salos of Belarus placed 14 in the All-Around event and failed to reach the finals.

The athletes will next compete in Milan as part of the World Cup on 21-23 June and later in Romania’s Cluj-Napoca as part of the World Challenge Cup in mid-July.
